HOLY HOUR AND HEALING SERVICE DVD NOW AVAILABLE |

The Powerful Healing Of The Lord is a video of Our Holy Hours and
healing Services here in Jersey in the Channel Islands. The services
consist of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament by those gathered as
Prayers are led by our Priests and Deacons. It is an evening of
prayerful reflection with the singing of Hymns and it culminates in
those seeking to be healed coming to the Blessed Sacrament and
reaching out to Our Lord for Healing as they touch the Monstrance.
The service is held in candlelight and has grown since its first
inception over three years ago from 60 people, to in excess of 700
people now in 2006. It is an opportunity for those present to
witness the power of prayer and gives an alternative to many people
from the regular Friday night Fare here in Jersey. The purpose of the video is to share that reflection with those who are not able to be there in person themselves so they may experience it in their own homes and it is also a powerful DVD of reflection for those of us that attend to have also. It is hoped that the sharing of this DVD will help encourage the spreading of devotion to Our Lord. The practice of prayer and Adoration are not new to the Catholic Church in fact they are every day events, even the Laying on of Hands and Healing Services are regular Daily features within the church as a whole. The practice of prayerful reflection in ordinary Parishes is not normally something one would find occurring in Churches on Friday Nights however. Even here where we do engage in the practice as in more renowned places of prayer around the world, we take time and effort to prepare the congregation for the events which are held during special times of the year within the Catholic Church such as Lent and leading up to Easter. It is our intention to sell the DVD’s to our congregations and share them for free with Priests who might be interested in starting their own versions of these evenings of prayerful reflection on a Friday night where they are. There is something one can receive from these Powerful services that cannot be found any where else so easily. Instead of what people are probably used to right now, which may not be as rewarding for them as an evening with their Priests and Deacons in the Company of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that the DVD will inspire other Priests to come forwards and share with their congregation the Powerful Healing of The Lord. Father Peter Glas and I are willing to travel to assist Priests and Parishes where possible in creating what may prove to be a re-generation of the Catholic Church at a grass roots level within the church as a whole. Next Holy Hour The next Holy Hour is yet to be announced as ST.Thomas church is currently undergoing extensive restorations. Father Peter and the musicians are able to travel to other Parishes locally or Internationally upon request.
